Trump Wants To Teach You About This Thing Called ‘Mother Nature,’ Have You Heard Of It?

Hurricane Florence is heading for the Atlantic coast and Donald Trump released a very odd video from the Rose Garden telling everyone to get prepared.

“Get out of its way, don’t play games with it. It’s a big one, maybe as big as they’ve seen, and tremendous amounts of water…We’re fully prepared, food, medical, everything you can imagine, we are ready. But despite that, bad things can happen when you’re talking about a storm this size. It’s called Mother Nature, you never know, but we know,” he said in the video posted to Twitter Wednesday morning.

Mike Pence will go to Atlanta on Thursday to review preparations for the Category 4 storm that is expected to make landfall later this week.

Pence will stop by the Delta TechOps facility, meet with leadership and speak to employees. Afterwards he will visit the American Red Cross Disaster Field Supply Center in Atlanta, according to a press release from the vice president’s office.

The National Weather Service initially predicted that South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia would be the states directly in the storm’s path. However, it was projected Wednesday that Florence would shift slightly to the south and possibly hit Georgia as well.

Trump has already declared a state of emergency for South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. Gov. Nathan Deal (R-Ga.) declared a state of emergency for Georgia Wednesday. Over 1.5 million people are under evacuation orders.

Trump tweeted about the danger to Georgia Wednesday, saying, “Hurricane Florence may now be dipping a bit south and hitting a portion of the Great State of Georgia. Be ready, be prepared!”
