Donald Trump just blasted Michael Avenatti as a “third rate lawyer” and a “total low-life” after the attorney revealed new sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
In a statement released by Avenatti, Julie Swetnick, a current government employee, alleged Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge attended a party where she was drugged and gang raped by a series of boys. While she did not accuse Kavanaugh of assaulting her, she claimed she witnessed him participate in gang rapes.
Trump tweeted shortly after Avenatti made his explosive revelations:
“Avenatti is a third rate lawyer who is good at making false accusations, like he did on me and like he is now doing on Judge Brett Kavanaugh,” Trump tweeted.
The president accused the attorney of simply “looking for attention” and insisted he is trying to deter people from looking into “his past record and relationships.”
“A total low-life!” Trump exclaimed.
Avenatti is a third rate lawyer who is good at making false accusations, like he did on me and like he is now doing on Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He is just looking for attention and doesn’t want people to look at his past record and relationships – a total low-life!

Avenatti rose to fame as the lawyer for Stormy Daniels, the porn star who sued Trump to get out of a nondisclosure agreement she signed to keep quiet about an alleged affair with the president.
Twitter had some thoughts:
That third rate lawyer is the reason your personal lawyer is cooperating with Mr. Mueller 🤣

Donald Trump is a third rate businessman who is good at making false statements, like he does every day and is doing right now. He is just looking for attention and doesn’t want people to look at his past record and relationships – a total low-life!https://t.co/4iY6nmQAZz

A sign, once more, about how Trump now views the allegations against Kavanaugh as an attack on himself https://t.co/Ez34OAU5he

Mr President, which of Avenatti's claims about hush payments to a woman you had an affair with are false, specifically? Please tell us. https://t.co/vJuYqEf3Ws
